1 Day Port Stephens Whale Watching Tour

Enjoy the thrill of seeing huge Humpback Whales as they make their annual migration along the east coast of Australia. You will depart from Sydney and do a cruise from the pretty seaside town of Port Stephens to see the whales.

A day in the beautiful Port Stephens area. Cruise among the whales on the whale watching trip, play on stunning beaches, sand slide down huge dunes and 4WD on the beach. Be amazed as you get close to the biggest creatures on earth. If you love nature and adventure, then this is the trip for you!

Travel over the Sydney Harbour Bridge towards the North Coast region of Port Stephens. With crystal clear waters, Port Stephens boasts over 26 pristine beaches, National Parks, diverse marine life and allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the City. Embrace the local atmosphere and grab a bite to eat for lunch (own expense) at one of the many cafes at the Nelson Bay Marina before you join the crew as you head out to the ocean, past the headlands in search of Humpback whales. Look out for sea life including dolphins and seals from spacious viewing decks and watch carefully to see the Humpback Whales playfully show off some whale acrobatics as they migrate along our coast. Help yourself to free tea or coffee or enjoy a drink from the licensed bar.

Back on land, we head to Stockton Beach where you will board a big 4WD vehicle to go over the huge dunes to find the biggest dunes possible for all the sandboarding you can handle. No skill is required but a medium level of fitness will be needed to climb the dunes.

Whale watching season is June to October, we depart every Wednesday and Saturday on this tour from Sydney.
