Kakadu National Park lies east of Darwin in the tropical region of the Northern Territory, Australia.

This World Heritage-listed area is famous for its rich Aboriginal culture, rock art sites, wildlife, waterways, crocodiles, and waterfalls.

At 19,000 square kilometers in size and was first created in 1978.

The environment here is pristine and accessible and unique in the context of Australian wilderness experiences.

Most tours departing from Darwin travel to Kakadu National Park. There are mini-coach and four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle options to see different parts of the park depending on the time of the year. We have overnight tours and 1 Day Kakadu Tours.

A 4WD vehicle is required to visit Twin and Jim Jim Falls, two of the more impressive waterfalls in the park.

When to visit Kakadu?

Visitors travel here between May and November each year in the cooler, drier months. However, access is possible year-round. During the Wet Season (December- March) in Kakadu National Park, different waterfalls open up, as a 4WD touring specialist we do cater very well to passengers during that time of year. Both in where we can access in the National Park and also with the type of permeant tented camping we can offer at our exclusive campsites (including fans).

We get booked up early on our Darwin tours for the period of travel July and August, with accommodation in Darwin busy and Kakadu National Park tours reaching full capacity. We ask that you book as far in advance as possible over that period, you can then take advantage of some of our Early bird specials on those Kakadu tours.

Kakadu National Park is a prime spot for wildlife viewing and nature photography, but even if you’re not bringing a camera, you won’t want to miss out on the spectacular sightseeing.
