Cairns is the sort of place that people gravitate to relax and have a good time. The warm tropical climate and access to the Great Barrier Reef and rainforest make it a special place to visit.
Cairns is in North Queensland and is easily accessible by road or by plane. Most people fly here unless they have been slowly traveling up the east coast of Australia.
