Kangaroo Island Experience
On our one-day tour, you will be picked up from your city center accommodation in Adelaide around 6.45 am. You will then take the ferry over to Kangaroo Island. On the island, we will hop in our coach and start exploring. We are straight into the adventure with a truly amazing and unforgettable experience at the beach. The chance to get up close with a colony of rare and wild Australian Sea Lions with a National Parks Ranger at Seal Bay Conservation Park.
Lunch is at Vivonne Bay Bistro, set in beautiful Australian bushland where you will enjoy two delicious courses.
You will then visit Flinders Chase National Park, where you can keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles, and koalas. Explore Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch looking at the rugged coastline of Kangaroo Island. Remarkable Rocks provide great photographic opportunities, and the Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery, and safe haven for playful Long-nosed Fur Seals. So much wildlife on this day tour!
We then visit Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed some kangaroos and get up close to the Kangaroo Island Koalas while listening to the Keeper talk about the cuddly mammals. There is a photo opportunity to hold a koala (additional cost).
Keep looking out for more kangaroos and wallabies as you return to Penneshaw for your return ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.

Whats the weather like on Kangaroo Island?
Kangaroo Island, like most of South Australia has a Mediterranean climate – although slightly more temperate. Summers are warm with cool evenings and winter is often a little warmer than the mainland. From March to June, the weather is often spectacular with long, balmy days and calm seas.
Be sure to take warm, layered clothing in the winter months of June through to September. At any time however, comfortable, casual clothing is the order of the day. Evening dining in any of the island’s restaurants or bistros is a relaxed experience, so neat, casual clothing is very acceptable.
If you plan to do some walking, take some boots or sturdy shoes and at all times, hats and sunscreen are recommended. A reasonable degree of fitness is required to enjoy some attractions on some of the marked and unmarked bush trails. Attractions such as Seal Bay, Admiral’s Arch and Remarkable Rocks now feature walking tracks and boardwalks to protect both you and the fragile ecosystems.
