Jim Jim Falls

Tours to Jim Jim Falls, Kakadu National Park

Jim Jim Falls is located deep in the heart of Kakadu National Park where the escarpment country has created cliffs in which the wet season monsoonal rains pour off creating the magnificent seasonal waterfalls for which the area is renowned. In the dry season (June-October) this area can be visited but only in a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle.

Jim Jim Falls is a highlight because of the large plunge pool at the bottom of the waterfall you can swim in. You’ll access this area after a walk in through lush bush over a track that winds its way through and over large boulders on the edge of Jim Jim Creek. Your walk is rewarded with a cool swim, a sit in the shade, the chance to take photos and understand the geology and habitat that the steep cliff walls create.
