      Lady Enid Sailing

      Your Whitsunday sailing adventure begins with a day cruise on Lady Enid A day on board Lady Enid is like no other sailing trip in the Whitsundays. A typical day on Lady Enid A day on board Lady Enid is like no other sailing trip in the Whitsundays. A cut above, Lady Enid promises luxury and comfort, with a highly attentive level of service. Gourmet meals are provided, and sparkling wine or beer is served with antipasto in the afternoon. Your enjoyment of the day is our highest priority and we aim to leave you with a joyous and memorable experience of the Whitsundays and our most famous asset, Whitehaven Beach. Pick Up from Airlie Beach or Private Charters from Hamilton Island We offer a courtesy pick up from your accommodation between Cannonvale and Jubliee Pocket and take you to the Port of Airlie Marina for a 7:30am boarding. If you are staying at an Air B&B outside of these locations we can provide you with the closest pick up location or alternatively you can make your own way to the marina. Please contact us for details. If you have booked Lady Enid for a private charter from Hamilton Island we can arrange to depart at any time you request. Contact us to learn more about the options. Introduction to Lady Enid Once onboard Lady Enid you will be introduced to our who crew will show you where to stow your bags and shoes (it’s best to go barefoot on the boat). You will be given an introduction to Lady Enid’s features and a safety briefing on sailing out from Abell Point Marina at Airlie Beach. You are given a courtesy bottle of spring water which can be refilled throughout the day as required. Lady Enid also makes sunscreen available if you do not have your own. Hot beverages are served On completion of the briefing and once you are comfortable Lady Enid’s crew will take a drinks order consisting of a variety of teas, coffee or hot chocolate. Your Whitsunday sailing adventure begins After you have finished your drinks the crew will hoist the sails. You are encouraged to lend a hand heaving on lines or taking a turn on the helm if you so desire. It’s an important part of the fun of a sailing adventure in the Whitsundays after all. You can freely move around the vessel and take advantage of the cushioned seating. During the passage to Whitehaven Beach through the Whitsunday Islands, Lady Enid crew will point out various points of interest and discuss the history, flora and fauna of the Whitsundays for those who are interested. Morning tea will be served once Lady Enid has crossed the Whitsunday Passage. Morning Tea Variety of teas, coffee or hot chocolate A selection of mini muffins (chocolate or berry) and fresh buttermilk scones served with jam and a dollop of thickened cream A fruit platter will also be served before we reach Whitehaven Beach Fruit Platter Seasonal fruits such as watermelon, rockmelon, kiwi fruit, pineapple, grapes and strawberries A joyous and memorable experience of the Whitsundays and our most famous asset, Whitehaven Beach. Arrival at Whitehaven Beach Lady Enid visits Hill Inlet at Whitehaven Beach. Lady Enid will typically arrive at Tongue Bay (adjacent to the famous lookout at Whitehaven Beach) late morning. Enjoy an easy walk up along the beautiful bush track to the Hill Inlet lookout over Whitehaven Beach, where we take time for photographs and to take in the view. We then make our way down to Whitehaven Beach for some time to relax on the soft white silica sand, and to enjoy the shallow aqua waters of one of Australia’s most famous beaches. We return from Whitehaven Beach around 1 pm for lunch onboard. Lunch Bread rolls with butter or olive oil Salads – zesty quinoa, roast pumpkin and pumpkin salad, contemporary kale slaw, and a green salad Meats – charcuterie selection of spiced chicken breast, roast beef, cured meat, along with salmon and prawns. Selection of condiments Snorkelling On completion of lunch, we sail to our island snorkelling site. Snorkelling is optional and guests not taking part in snorkelling can sit and enjoy a cool beer or glass of wine from the bar. We spend approximately 40 minutes at the snorkelling site where you can explore the diversity of corals, fish and all manner of colourful marine life that call the Whitsundays home. All snorkelling equipment is provided including wetsuits if required. Homeward Bound After snorkelling we set sail for home at Airlie Beach. High Tea will be served en-route to Airlie Beach. High Tea Antipasto Mature cheddar, camembert, Bowen Sun-dried tomatoes, char-grilled aubergine and mixed olives Complimentary glass of sparkling Lady Enid returns home to the Port of Airlie Marina at 5 pm. Our courtesy bus then returns you to your Airlie Beach accommodation.
