This Adelaide to Perth bus tour is a small group adventure tour showcasing the remote and undiscovered regions of the Eyre Peninsular in South Australia, the Nullarbor and the South West of Western Australia. Destinations that feature some of the best beaches, national parks, and wildlife encounters on the planet. Offering a truly unique experience like sleeping under the stars in swags, swimming with dolphins and sea lions, hiking in beautiful national parks, surfing on mountainous sand dunes, treetop walks through ancient forests, and personalized indigenous culture.
Departing Adelaide on tour you will first explore the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. Then try some sandboarding at Lake Newland sand dunes, We take you to the Great Australian Bight and across the Nullarbor. As we make our way into Western Australia we will visit Cape Le Grand National Park. Two days of hiking and camping in Cape Le Grand will blow your mind, the most amazing white beaches. Visit the giant treetops of the Southwest of Western Australia and then up to Margaret River before finishing your adventure in Perth.

The last true outback tour in Australia. This trip has very basic camping and is for the adventurous traveller. If you like getting out of your comfort zone this trip is good for you. Travelling the Nullarbor makes you feel like you have Australia all to yourself. Really gives a new meaning to off the beaten track!
Escape the city and head north for the first stretch of your Adelaide to Perth camping tour. Grab a coffee in the small town of Port Wakefield before claiming a sandy patch of pristine beach for yourself at Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula. Soak up the sun, then continue along the coast to the seaside town of Port Germein, where you can stroll along South Australia’s longest jetty, built in 1881.
This afternoon, arrive at Mt. Remarkable National Park in the Southern Flinders Ranges to enjoy an afternoon bushwalk. Later, arrive at Spear Creek Holiday Park, which is set adjacent to the Western slopes of the Flinders Ranges in the middle of a 21,000-acre working sheep station. Relax with your new travel companions over dinner. Then kick back and enjoy front-row seats to one of Earth’s most spectacular light shows as you roll out your swag under a blanket of stars twinkling stars.

Wake up to the sounds of native birdlife, and after breakfast, embark on the Daveys Gully hike to take in panoramic views across the Spencer Gulf. Then, hit the road. Along the way, we’ll see Kimba’s unique silo art and wind towards the wildly beautiful Eyre Peninsula after a quick pitstop to buy lunch.
Test your sandboarding skills in epic dunes before unearthing a magical seaside cave at Talia. Arrive at Coodlie Park Farm Retreat for a barbecue feast and spend the night in a unique swag hut.

This morning, it’s time for one of the tour highlights, swimming with wild sea lions and majestic dolphins on a three-hour cruise in the sheltered waters of Baird Bay. This optional experience is an outsourced adventure operated by Baird Bay Eco Tours and an experience to treasure forever.
Following a picnic lunch, peel on a wetsuit for a two-hour learn-to-surf lesson on a pristine beach with Streaky Bay Surf School. Those not wanting to surf will be able to relax, swim or wander the shores. After a big day, arrive in Penong, an outback town famous for its dozens of windmills.

Today we continue across the mighty Nullarbor, taking in Australia’s longest straight road, 90 Mile Straight. Visit the outback town of Balladonia, which shot to worldwide fame in 1979 when the
Skylab space station returned to Earth here rather abruptly. Watch the ever-changing landscapes from your window as your guide regales the history and stories that make this land unique.
By afternoon, turquoise water will replace red dirt as we head towards Esperance. Connect to Country during a 90-minute Dabungool Cultural Experience. Join local Wudjari Nyungar mother and daughter as they guide you on a coastal walk to learn about the six seasons, bushfood and medicine plants that have sustained the Wudjari people for many thousands of years. Then head for the pristine bushland and beaches of Cape Le Grand National Park, our base, for two nights.

Crystal clear waters, powdery, white sands, expansive granite bluffs, and sunbathing kangaroos? Sound like a dream? Well, it’s not, because today you’ll wake up in paradise. Pristine and perfect are two words that reflect the absolute beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park. The ocean here is transparent, and the sand at Lucky Bay has twice been judged Australia’s whitest.
Meet the iconic western greys, who don’t mind posing for that iconic kangaroo selfie. Spend the whole day exploring, swimming and bushwalking. You’ll also have some free time to do whatever you please.
We drive only 10 minutes today, and walks will vary from 2-4 hours.
Sunrise here is spectacular, and it’s also when the roos are at their most active. Wander onto the beach nice and early to see these, before a hike up Frenchman Peak. A challenging yet rewarding hike, wow at the beautiful vistas which span right across Cape Le Grand and the Recherche Archipelago. Refuel with a lunch stop on one of the many beaches on Esperance’s Great Ocean Drive, then settle in for the onwards drive to our Stirling Ranges campsite at Mount Trio.
Today, travel approximately 470 km (5 hours), and camp in a private campground in the Stirling Ranges which has shower and toilet facilities.
After breakfast, travel to the Porongorups, which rise from the landscape like an island. Over 1,100 million years in the making, the striking granite outcrop of Castle Rock invites you to walk its 670- metre peak through tall Karri and Marri tree forest and take in the jaw-dropping view from the suspended Granite Skywalk.
Hop back on the bus for a dreamy coastal drive towards Albany. We’ll stop at The Gap and Natural
Bridge before continuing to the turquoise and calm waters of Elephant Rocks. Then just up the road, descend into Greens Pool, a white sandy beach framed by huge granite boulders, primed for swimming in the warmer months. From the coast to the forest, walk among the old-growth forests of the Walpole Wilderness Region with the last stop of the day at the largest Tingle Tree in Western Australia.

Today we put adventure aside as we taste our way around the world-renowned Margaret River region. Whatever your taste buds desire, you will find it here. From wine to gin, and chocolate to cheese, by the end of the day you will be feeling very satisfied and merry. Cheers to that!
Today travel around 200 km (5 hours), making tasting stops along the way. Tonight, camp at Big Valley Caravan Park in Margaret River which has shower and toilet facilities.
Roll up your swag one last time before we arrive at the Ngilgi Cave Ancient Lands, an immersive above and below ground experience. Go beneath the Earth’s surface for a 45-minute semi-guided tour of the exquisitely decorated Ngilgi Cave. Above ground, discover 600 million years of stories associated with the land and its people. Follow a pathway through the native bushland bringing to
life the creation of the land, cave formations, cultural connection and native flora and fauna through
a series of experiential nodes.
In Busselton, take a stroll along the 19th-century jetty stretching 1.8km into gorgeous Geographe
Bay and have some free time for lunch. Then complete your ten day adventure with a meaningful
experience at FAWNA to participate in some volunteer conservation work. This wonderful not-forprofit organisation, run solely by volunteers, was established in 1984 to support wildlife
rehabilitators to provide the best care for orphaned, injured, or abandoned wildlife. Tasks vary from
tour to tour but include things like cleaning wildlife enclosures, gardening or planting trees. Meet
and learn from the passionate people that protect the region’s wildlife, such as the critically
endangered Western Ringtail Possums to kangaroos, birdlife and reptiles.
One last stint on the road has you arriving in Perth around 6 pm.

Our tours are camping adventures, and participation and involvement are required from our passengers. People do need to enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and be able to cope with extreme weather conditions if travelling at the peak of summer. Camping on this tour is a mixture of national parks, campgrounds and bush camps (no facilities).
When camping, we use single swags. Swags are ‘Aussie Bed Rolls’ made from sturdy canvas with a mattress built into the swag. Passengers need to provide a sleeping bag and pillow to insert into the swag.
A good level of fitness is required, and you need to be prepared for walks of between 3-12 kilometres on some days. This may involve rough ground and perhaps getting wet.
To get the most from our adventure tours, you need to enjoy the outdoors and hiking and be able to cope with a range of weather conditions. Our guides work hard and sometimes need a helping hand, so we kindly ask for involvement from our passengers, such as helping with meals and packing up camp.
Due to limited space in the trailer, bags are restricted to 1 × 15 kg backpack/soft travel bag per person, plus one small piece of hand luggage for on the bus.
