Uluru (Ayers Rock) Tours

Take one of our Uluru tours to the world-famous Uluru (Ayers Rock)

The magnificent sight of Uluru (Ayers Rock) on our Uluru tours is something few will forget easily. At sunrise and sunset, the red glow of the sandstone monolith is not only beautiful but also ever-changing in the light.

Uluru (Ayers Rock) commands respect and awe. Its size is magnified by the sparse relatively flat desert surroundings in which it finds itself, where you will camp nearby on these tours.

Uluru (Ayers Rock) is located in the central Australian region, some five hours drive from Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory. It is one of the few places in the world to be dual-listed by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO)

Located in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Uluru is estimated to be over 700 million years old. On all our Uluru tours the guide will inform you of the staggering geological significance of Uluru and it’s surrounding outback.

Tours depart to Uluru (Ayers Rock) from Adelaide, Alice Springs, Ayers Rock Airport / Resort, Darwin, Melbourne and Sydney. These trips take in the main highlights of the Red Centre, with Uluru, Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and Kings Canyon all visited. These are sometimes called the big three, and a definite must-see for all those who visit the Northern Territory.

Our most popular tour in the Red Centre is the 3 day Uluru tour from Alice Springs.

Sunrise and Sunset at Uluru

On all our Uluru tours you will see the sunset and sunrise at Uluru. You will also have time on our Ayers Rock tours to walk around the base of Uluru. Your guide will point out features, explain how it was formed and weathered, as well as its significance to the local Aboriginal people of the area, the Anangu. We do not recommend or endorse the climbing of Uluru due to cultural reasons.

We have our short tours from Ayers Rock Resort to visit Uluru for sunset. If you are short on time this will be perfect for you. check it out here: BBQ at Uluru for Sunset.

Where do our Uluru tours start from?

You can start your tour from Alice Springs. Arrive the day before the tour and we will pick you up from your accommodation. We do have tours that start from Ayers Rock (Uluru) airport if you are flying there instead of Alice Springs airport. Please check the tour details regarding which flight times we meet for your tour and let us know your flight details at the time of booking.
