Kimberley Terms and Conditions

Your travel has been booked with service suppliers in co-operation with Real Aussie Adventures Pty Ltd. (ACN 158 549 332), trading as the Real Adventure Group. 


Tickets with booked dates: It is your responsibility to ensure you redeem your tickets on the dates booked. If you wish to change these dates please refer to your booking agent.
Bookings must be reconfirmed with the operator directly at least 48 hours prior to travel (the telephone number is provided on each voucher) or if booked directly with Real Adventure Group, by emailing us directly. Date changes are subject to availability and may incur a change fee, details of which will be provided to you when your date change is requested.

You acknowledge that you are choosing to travel at a time of a global pandemic where you may be exposed to COVID-19. It is your own responsibility to seek and understand all relevant travel information, including but not limited to interstate or international travel and potential health risks. By travelling with Real Adventure Group and its service suppliers you acknowledge that you have considered all government guidelines surrounding COVID-19 and you assume responsibility for the risks associated with traveling at this time. We accept no liability in relation to these additional risks.

Cancellation of a booking or part thereof will incur the fees listed below as well as a 2% administration fee. Credit Card fees are also non-refundable. Once travel has commenced, no refunds will be made for any unused services and clients will be responsible for their travel arrangements from that point onward.

90 - 59 days from departure; 20% cancellation fee
60 – 31 days from departure; 50% cancellation fees
30 - 14 days of departure; 90% cancellation fees
13 days or less before departure; 100% cancellation fees


Cancellation 60 days or longer before travel date;

75% of funds to be immediately refunded.
25% of monies to be used as a credit for future travel.
Note that these funds will be able to be used on travel to any destination with Real Adventure Group, not just the Kimberley.

*To be valid for the Covid policy customers must prove that they were unable to travel due to factors outside their control due to Covid eg Border closures, country of origin restriction to travel etc.


Cancellation fees are as follows:
Cancellation up until 31 days prior to departure – Full refund
Cancellation within 30 days prior to departure – 100% cancellation fees apply (no refund)
Date change can occur up until 72 hours prior to departure
Should a cancellation occur within 30 days prior to departure due to border or travel restrictions imposed by local governments, a future travel credit will be provided for travel up until 31 December 2022 on any Journey Beyond product.


50% cancellation fee for bookings within 2 weeks of travel date. Customers will receive a refund less a $20 cancellation fee or a full credit with 72 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No-shows will be charged the full price.


Cancellation Policy Day Flights / Tours:
Within 24 hours or less of departure: NON-REFUNDABLE
24 hours to 7 days prior to departure: 20% administration fee will be charged per booking

Our operators reserve the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and activities and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. Sometimes roads or other activities will be closed due to seasonality, extreme heat, rainfall or other weather occurrences and is beyond the control of operators. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure.

A minimum number of 4 -6 passengers are generally required to operate tours or activities. Some larger vessels may require more and it is subject to the conditions of individual activity providers. It may be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer an alternative or full refund for that tour if the minimum numbers are not met.

Real Aussie Adventures are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services or any associated costs resulting from such delays and clients should take out insurance against this. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage and cannot be responsible for children whilst on tour. Parents are entirely responsible for their children whilst all care will be taken.

Components of tours are sometimes subject to Cultural conditions. Participants may be absent due to cultural commitments with minimal prior notification and Real Aussie Adventures reserves the right to amend the itinerary in these circumstances with no obligation to refund. Components of trips are dependent on many external factors and Real Aussie Adventures cannot be held liable if trip components are not available on the day of travel.

Please refer to each individual tour/package to establish which meals are included. Meals are indicated as: B = Breakfast, L = Lunch and D = Dinner.

Many tours require a certain level of participation from guests. This may include assisting and cleaning afterward with the preparation of meals, collecting firewood, sweeping out tents. etc
Fitness requirements:
Real Adventure Group products require a moderate level of fitness. As a general rule, pax need to be fit enough to walk an average of 6 kilometers a day, though not all tours will require this amount of walking.  Please ensure you have sturdy footwear for walks on tours. For many tours you are required to be able to swim. If you are concerned about your client's suitability to a tour, please contact us and we can provide more information regarding the physical demands of that particular product and often recommend a more appropriate product if their first choice is not suitable.

Luggage should be restricted to 15-20 kg per person in a soft bag or backpack (except for tours starting and finishing in the same location where a 10kg limit applies) with a small day pack for easy access to camera, sunblock etc. Those starting and finishing in a different location can carry 20kg at time of booking with a soft bag.

Itineraries are correct at the time of publication and may differ slightly to the one displayed on the website or in our booking system. Occasionally itineraries change as operators make improvements based on comments from past travelers. Additionally, National parks alter their policies so that certain walks are no longer available for safety reasons. If we are unable to utilise a product, service or activity detailed, a suitable alternative will be offered where possible.

Any additional fees/levies are noted within each itinerary. Credit card payments attract a 2.0% surcharge.

Real Aussie Adventures Pty Ltd carries public and product liability insurance of $20 million and we make the best efforts to ensure that all our suppliers also have adequate levels of insurance.

Our suppliers make every effort to safeguard clients, but Real Aussie Adventures cannot be held responsible for personal injury or sickness to any customer which is beyond our control.

Passengers should note that adventure travel involves a higher than normal risk and a signed release may be required from all participants from a number of our tour and activity providers. Real Adventure Group work with the best operators available but takes no responsibility for any act of neglect by any operator whose services are used as part of your trip.

Travel Insurance is NOT included. We endorse the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that all travellers take out travel insurance. It is the client's personal responsibility to purchase their own travel insurance to cover any liability which may be incurred to us, or our service providers. We strongly recommend that clients source travel insurance against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on either the confirmed departure date, or a connecting service at the end of a tour. Our operators often work in remote locations and meeting flights or other transport arrangements after tour cannot be guaranteed. Travel insurance recommended with a low excess payment, to make claiming on canceled tours worthwhile. Travel Insurance is compulsory when travelling in Asia on our programs.

Government regulations prohibit smoking and the drinking of alcohol inside tourist vehicles (smoking and drinking should be limited to stops along the route).

Prices are quoted in Dollars inclusive of GST for all product and are valid for travel until 31st March 2022.
