Day 1: Hervey Bay to Fraser Island
Today is your arrival day to go from Hervey Bay on the ferry over to Fraser Island at whatever time suits you.
On the day of arrival, travel from River Heads on the barge crossing of your choice, arriving at Kingfisher Bay Resort on K’gari (Ferry time must be selected at time of booking).
Check-in to accommodation after 2.00 pm. Spend the rest of your day relaxing at Kingfisher Bay Resort, using the pool, or having a few drinks. Don’t forget to watch the sunset.

Day 2: Explore Fraser Island
6.30 am – 8.30 am: Breakfast at Sand & Wood restaurant.
9.00 am: Check out of Standard Resort Hotel Room.
9.30 am: Arrive at The Sunset Bar. A courtesy bus is available from reception. Depart Kingfisher
Bay Resort and begin K’gari 2-day tour.
A drive inland takes you to Fraser Island’s ancient rainforests to see giant King ferns at Wanggoolba Creek and Central Station. Check out the clear blue waters of Lake McKenzie, the island’s most photographed location. Enjoy a swim at emerald-green Lake Wabby after walking across Hammerstone Sandblow – a large sand feature.
Lunch at Eurong Beach Resort. 5.30pm: Arrival and check-in at Eurong Beach Resort. Enjoy dinner at leisure at McKenzie’s on 75 restaurants. Pool table and drinks available at McKenzie’s Bar until late.
Day 3: Fraser Island
Breakfast at McKenzie’s on 75 restaurant. After your buffet breakfast, your day begins with a wade through the shallow waters of Eli Creek or you can float downstream to the Pacific Ocean. A stop is made on the beach for a great photo opportunity at the Maheno Shipwreck. At The Pinnacles Coloured Sands, you can learn the legend of their creation. Indian Head lookout has a magnificent view of the coast and you may see Fraser Island’s marine life swimming by in the Coral Sea. Departure: • 5.00 pm: Return ferry transfer back to the mainland. • 5.50 pm Arrival back at River Heads (with local courtesy drop-offs).
