Day 1 - 3: Arrive in Sydney
Once you’ve landed in Sydney, the included airport transfer will pick you up and take you to our hostel, from there you will get to meet the rest of your travel group! We will spend 2 days exploring Sydney’s iconic harbour landmarks and stunning beaches like Bondi with a coastal walk before we start our adventure north! (L, D)
Day 4- 6: Surfs up!
We’ll spend 3 nights in the beautiful and famous surf town of Byron Bay. You’ll learn to surf with Aussie surfer dudes, relax and unwind with some morning yoga and experience a beautiful sunrise walk to Cape Byron Lighthouse. (B, D)
Day 7 - 8: Beaches and Parties!
Experience the best of the iconic Surfers Paradise. Explore the city, party the night away and then work on your tan on one of the seemingly endless white sand beaches of this famous piece of Aussie coastline. (B)
Day 9-10: Brisbane
Explore the highlights of Queensland’s capital, chill out at the only city man-made beach in Australia called ‘The Lagoon’ and then head up the beautiful Mount Coot-tha for a sunset BBQ overlooking Brisbane. (B, D)
Day 11- Nooa
Heading up to the laidback coastal town of Noosa, this morning we’ll get to enjoy the chill vibes Noosa has to offer. Sit on the beach or wander up Hastings Street and explore the endless boutiques.
Day 12- 14: K'Gari Fraser Island
You’ll get to drive your own 4×4’s around the biggest sand island in the world. The beach and sand dunes are your highway for the next 3 days. Swim in the incredible turquoise waters of Lake McKenzie, float down the lazy river of Eli Creek, get a 360 degree view of Fraser Island from Indian Heads Lookout, chill in the bubbles of the Champagne Pools, learn about the Aboriginal history on the island, spot dingoes in the wild, and then sleep beneath the stars in a private, exclusive campsite with your group.
Day 15: Noosa
Arriving back in Noosa, we’ll explore the idyllic coastline on our way to the Instagram-worthy Fairy Pools. Tonight we’ll jump on the overnight bus to Airlie Beach.
Day 16 - 19 : Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays
Arriving in Airlie Beach this morning, we’ll get to enjoy some free time at the beachfront lagoon.
The Whitsundays Made up of 74 tropical islands, we’ll board our boat for the next 2 nights. Relax and sunbathe on the massive deck as we sail to the outer parts of the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkel with an abundance of marine life on the fringing reefs and try your hand at stand up paddle boarding. Later you’ll get to explore the amazing swirls of fine white sand on the world-famous Whitehaven Beach.
Day 20 - 21: Magnetic Island
Today we’ll jump on the ferry to a slice of tropical paradise – Magnetic Island. You’ll stay in beach front huts while you explore the best of this magical Island. Chill out in your ocean front hammock, hire a car and explore the hidden beaches.
Day 22- 23: Mission Beach
Today we’ll hike up the historic Forts Walk. Taking in the stunning views, keep your eyes open because if you’re lucky you’ll even spot wild koalas and rock wallabies!
Day 24: Cairns
Welcome to the ultimate backpacker adventure hub, Cairns. We’ll enjoy a BBQ at the iconic Esplanade and later we’ll help you with all of your onward travel in Oz and beyond!
Day 25: Great Barrier Reef
Today you’ll tick off a massive bucket list item and experience a full day on the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll spend the day sailing and snorkelling unique outer reef locations in this World Heritage listed site. Once you’re off the boat we’ll get ready for a fun night out!
Day 26: Cairns
Today is yours to explore Cairns! Opt for a heart-pumping bungee jump or white water rafting.
Day 27: Atherton Tablelands
Exploring the Aussie oasis of the Atherton Tablelands is next for Cairns, where you will swim under waterfalls and dormant volcano craters, and slide down natural rock slides, all while learning about this extraordinary place from your experienced guide. The night will finish with a farewell dinner and drinks to toast to the incredible adventures and friends we have made.
Day 28: Cairns
Your epic Aussie adventure comes to an end in Cairns on the morning of day 28.
