Whitsunday Bullet is 14 meters in length, seats up to 40 passengers, has 3 crew and can cruise at 25 knots (46km).  The vessel features a full sized toilet and washroom, seating for all guests, forward loading walkway to make it easy for you to access the beach, and a covered roof to provide you with plenty of shade from our Aussie sun.

You will pull on Whitsunday Island and take a walk to the renowned Hill Inlet Lookout, South Whitehaven Beach for a swim and to marvel at the white silica sands of the beach and time at the north end of Hook Island or Hayman Island for snorkeling.

    Overnight Whitsunday Islands Sailing

    Whether travelling individually, as a couple or with a group there is a tour option available. Tours range in length from 2 to 6 days or we can tailor durations for private charter groups. You can also do a learn to sail course.

    Along with Sailing the Whitsunday Islands, tours include time to snorkel on Coral Reefs teeming with marine life, take guided island bush walks to lookouts which offer amazing photo opportunities and visit the world famous Whitehaven Beach. Tours are Eco-Certified and along the way, the crew will provide an interpretive insight into this World Heritage Listed area.

    During a typical 2 or 3 day tour, along with the sailing, there will be time to:

    • Snorkel coral reefs teaming with marine life
    • Visit stunning sand and coral beaches

    The Whitsundays are located in Central Queensland, approximately 1,000km north of Brisbane and 700km south of Cairns. Getting to Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands, is very easy with a variety of air, rail and road options available.

    Arriving by flight

    The Whitsundays are serviced by two domestic airports, Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine Airport – PPP) on the mainland, and Great Barrier Reef Airport (HTI) on Hamilton Island.Proserpine is situated about 25kms inland from Airlie Beach with shuttles, taxis, and buses meeting all flights to take you to Airlie Beach. International access to the Whitsundays is available via connecting flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Cairns. Airlines servicing the Whitsundays region are Qantas, Virgin Australia, Tigerair, and Jetstar.

    Approximate flying times: Sydney – 2 hours 30 minutes, Brisbane – 1 hour 30 minutes, Melbourne – 3 hours, Cairns – 1 hour

    Arriving by train

    Queensland Rail’s ‘Sunlander’ and ‘Queenslander’ services to Proserpine depart Brisbane and Cairns several times weekly. The Great South Pacific Express also services this area. Alternatively, you can discover Queensland’s tropical beauty aboard the country’s most innovative train, the Tilt Train. The new Tilt Train services Proserpine Station, with two return services weekly between Brisbane and Cairns.

    Arriving by car

    If you choose to drive to the Whitsundays there are some wonderful places to explore both north and south of the area.The Bruce Highway runs from Brisbane to Cairns offering some beautiful scenery along the way. The turnoff to Airlie Beach is 1 km north of Proserpine.

    Approximate travel times: From Brisbane – 13 hours, From Cairns – 8 hours, From Townsville – 3 hours, From Mackay – 2 hours, From Bowen – 1 hour, From Proserpine – 30 minutes
