Then spend three days of bush and beach from Melbourne to Adelaide. Travel along the Great Ocean Road to see the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, Bay Of Martyrs and London Bridge rock formations on the rugged coast. The coastal scenery is breath-taking and you will stay in a small coastal town before heading inland to stay overnight at Halls Gap where kangaroos abound, near the Grampians National Park. Learn about the local Aboriginal culture in the Grampians at the Brambuk Cultural Centre and do some hikes in the National Park. The tour is fully accommodated for your comfort in all seasons.

6 Day Sydney to Adelaide Tour Package Itinerary - 6 days

  1. Day 1 Sydney to Yerong Creek
    Journey through Wagga Wagga and Gundagai, to our Nations’ Capital City – Canberra. Today we discover the home of the Australian Story. See national attractions and hidden gems. The city’s national museums and attractions hold and share the treasures of our nation.

    Continue the journey through to the Victorian high country to spend the night at an authentic Aussie farmstay property and experience true Australian hospitality amongst native wildlife. You will not forget this! (D)
  2. Day 2 Yerong Creek to Melbourne
    Visit Victoria’s unfamiliar territory to the historic gold mining town of Beechworth. It’s magnificently preserved heritage buildings and mouth-watering local gourmet produce makes this stop one for the senses.

    Learn about Australia’s fascinating bushrangers (outlaws) as you travel to Powers Lookout - what a great place for that postcard picture!

    Bound by the Victorian Alps and the Murray River we journey through ever changing landscapes. Mix with locals and see Australia as you have never seen it before. Drive through the scenic landscape of Mansfield, the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, and feel the serenity at Bonnie Doon before landing at Kinglake.

    Immerse yourself in a local wildlife rescue project that is sure to touch your heart. A donation to an animal welfare shelter is included as part of your cost.

  3. Day 3 Melbourne
    Free day to explore Melbourne's cafes, lane way bars and shops, visit the seaside suburb of St Kilda. Or perhaps do a day tour to see the Penguins at Phillip Island. overnight accommodation is included. (no meals)
  4. Day 4 Melbourne to Twelve Apostles
    The first stops out of Melbourne are the famous surf coast icons, Torquay (home of surf wear brands Rip Curl and Quiksilver), Bells Beach and Anglesea. Further along the Great Ocean Road are the towns of Apollo Bay and Lorne where you can swim, explore or just relax with a cup of coffee. Parts of the Great Ocean Road were carved by returned WWI servicemen; their legacy has created one of the most spectacular coastal roads you will ever see. At the Otway National Park, it’s time for lunch and a walk through some ancient temperate (cool) rainforest. What better way to finish the day than with a sunset at the Twelve Apostles rock formation. Tonight you will stay in hostel accommodation on the Great Ocean Road. (LD)
  5. Day 5 Great Ocean Road to Grampians National Park
    The highlights today on the Great Ocean Road include Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge and the Bay of Martyrs not to mention the spectacular coastal scenery in the area. After lunch you will leave the coast and head inland to the Grampians National Park. Here you will spend the afternoon hiking to the bottom of MacKenzie Falls and enjoy the views from The Balconies lookout point. Later in the day, you might see kangaroos and other wildlife come out to play. Tonight you will stay in the heart of the Grampians National Park in hostel accommodation. (BLD)
  6. Day 6 Grampians National Park to Adelaide
    This morning you will visit the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre before doing some more hiking in the beautiful Grampians. On the way to Adelaide you will stop at Mt. Arapiles for lunch. In the afternoon sit back and enjoy the landscapes and drive to Adelaide where you will arrive at approximately 7.00pm. (BL)
